Meet our team
Io Jacobson
Io is an Immigration Lawyer and the Principal Solicitor of Turnstone, having established the firm over ten years ago. She has a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Politics) from the University of Queensland, a Bachelor of Laws (1st class Hon) from Southern Cross University, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Australian National University.
Io has always had a keen interest in migration law, having lived in both Japan and Mexico for some time. She has international work experience designing English learning curriculums and providing consultation services about Australia as a destination for international education. Io believes passionately in the transformative power of a good education and has integrated this passion into Turnstone’s vision.
In her spare time, Io practices martial arts and chases her dog along the majestic beaches of Northern NSW.

Legal Secretary
Ella Douglas-Brown is a Legal Secretary at Turnstone Immigration Law, where she provides indispensable support to both clients and solicitors. With a keen interest in skills assessments and guiding international students through their Australian migration journeys, Ella is passionate about helping people take confident steps toward their futures. She is about to embark on tertiary studies in law, with plans to continue growing her career alongside her role at Turnstone. Outside of work, Ella enjoys long beach walks with her dog, Maple, and relaxing with friends at the local bowlo.
